This time however, the weather was really miserable and so we didn't get to take Audrey swimming. We also missed our ferry home and by the end of the journey the nasty sore throat I had been coping with had turned into a full blown flu. I'm now sick in bed and Amaury came home from work after just a couple of hours this morning as he has come down with it too! Typically, right now as I look out of my window there is not a cloud in the sky. A beautiful day and we are stuck inside. What better way to bide my time than to update Audrey's blog....
Soon after we arrived at Poets Cove early Sunday afternoon, it began to rain. Nevertheless Amaury and I braved the weather and made straight for the outdoor pool, parking Audrey's stroller a couple of feet away, where she was safely tucked away with the rain cover on! Looking back, this probably was not the smartest thing to do given that I was feeling pretty unwell at this stage! We had a lovely evening in the hotel and enjoyed a nice dinner in the restaurant that night, before retiring early with a take out desert, some wine and an episode of 'Trailer Park Boys'. The next day we woke up really early and had a nice breakfast, checking out earlier than necessary (for the first time in my life) and headed for the ferry terminal. We missed our ferry by 5 minutes so had 5 hours to waste on the island. We proceeded to literally leave no stone unturned and no territory unchartered!
In spite of everything, we actually managed to have so much fun on this trip and we really enjoyed ourselves. Here are some of the photos we took:
Audrey people watching on the ferry...
Audrey's outfit drying by the fire in the hotel room after mummy had to wash it following a diaper accident on the ferry....
Daddy and Audrey...
Since Audrey couldn't go swimming in the pool, she had a long bath with mummy instead...

We missed the ferry home! Where to now?
